Do you like to wake up with silence or birds singing … then you are lucky because so is every morning at Hammarstrands camping!
Our campsite is beautifully situated in the middle of nature and has a beautiful view over the Indalsälven, which offers you the peace and the proximity of nature. You will not be bothered by mosquitoes on the campsite. We are in the valley between Östersund and Sundsvall and It is about an hour away in both directions.
Hammarstrands campsite has 30 camping pitches with electricity. At the campsite we also have several stuga’s four persons and two person stuga’s to rent for 1 night or for a longer period. A little further away about 100 meters we have a 4 person villa / cabin for rent. In and around the village of Hammarstrand we have various houses for rent, from 4 people to 9 people. The entire campsite is well lit. The heated service house has just been renovated, clean and beautiful. There you will find toilets, showers, disabled toilet and shower, fully equipped kitchen with dining facilities and washing up, washer and dryer, landfill for your toilet and water tap point for filling the water tank of the camper/caravan. The showers are free, spacious and wonderfully warm.
At the reception there is a café where you can get a fika (coffee with some cake). We have different types of pastries, packaged ice cream, real soft ice cream. If you want to eat then we have small dishes such as toast, various sandwiches and also the real Dutch Croquette and Frikandel is for sale in the café and even more small dishes. For dinner we also serve meals that you can eat with us on the tarras or take with you to your caravan or camper. Breakfast can be ordered one day in advance. Also for larger groups for a breakfast buffet can be taken care of. Delicious warm bread in the morning for takeaway.
If you want to swim in the river, there is a beach next to Hammarstrands camping. In Hammerstrand you will find everything you need, such as 2 supermarkets, ATM, gas station, pharmacy, health center, dentist, liquor store, pet store, garage, pizzeria and several restaurants.
There is also a cozy shop at Hammarstrands camping where you can find local products such as honey, juice, wood burning, pewter bracelets, t-shirts, books, mugs, moose, jewellery, felt products and moose antlers and much more. Workshops are also held here, for example making pewter bracelets or wood burning. Everything is made in the beautiful Ragunda valley.
Dogs are welcome but on a leash, at the campsite there is also a possibility to let the dog swim or to swim with your dog. We also have a separate fenced dog agility course, that you can use for free with your dog.
