Junibacken is a children’s museum and cultural center in Stockholm dedicated to storytelling and Swedish children’s literature, with Astrid Lindgren as its centerpiece. It is located on the island of Djurgården in central Stockholm (in the cluster of museums and attractions there). The main attraction is The Story Train (Sagotåget) – a ride that takes you through animated scenes from beloved Swedish children’s books, especially Lindgren’s stories. Other features are interactive storyrooms, temporary and permanent exhibitions about authors and characters (notably Pippi Longstocking and other Lindgren creations), a theatre for performances, workshops during school holidays, a bookshop, and a cafe.

The producer of this video, Our Simple Chaos, writes “We only had a few hours before closing—but the magic didn’t stop! If you’re visiting Stockholm with kids under 10, Junibacken is a must”
