This is the first of two videos about a late summer/early autumn backpacking trip in northern Sweden and Norway. The whole hike was roughly 20 days. This video covers the following section: Jäkkvik – Tjállas – Guijaure – Lomtjärnen – Silvervägen – Ikkesjávrre – Mavas. During my trip, I only met few human beings and was often alone for days. For the first time I’m bringing a small packraft as an experiment. Crossing Mávasjávrre wouldn’t have been possible without it as there was no boat service this year.

This video covers the following section: Mavas – Pieskehaure – Ny Sulitjelma – Sorjushytta – Stáddájåhkå – Pieskehaure – Vaimok – Tarradalen – Kvikkjokk. The video starts at Mavas, where the first left off. I walked a circuit around the Sulitjelma mountain range to see it from all sides. Also during this part of the hike, I make use of my packraft, which wasn’t strictly necessary. But is was fun :-).
